regardless of the implications and how they multiply with each win going forward. Very few saw this coming, and it has been so much fun. Especially, beating two teams that are a combined 14-2 with that 2 being both BYU wins against them. Usually teams have tanked after losing to BYU, not this time. 6 of these 8 wins are vs teams from power conferences, this is also a record for BYU. The thing that is so exciting is not necessarily the aforementioned implications, but the fact that all of our best player are starting to gel as we head down the stretch...on offense, Lassiter, LJ, Ropati, Roberts, and Marion making huge plays and taking pressure off Retzlaff. On defense, Mangleson, Robinson, Glasker, Kelly, Taggart, and on and on...even stud DB's like Alfrey and Harper are not getting many minutes because freshmen Prassas, Damuni and Faletau are huge in complimenting Wall and Wakely. There are so many playmakers and a lot of depth back there.
Any loss going forward is going to hurt, but I just feel this is a really special group of players. It is really amazing to see it all come together when I was feeling another losing season was on the horizon, for sure I couldn't have been more wrong. Whether BYU finishes 8-4 or 12-0 before the post season, this has been such a special year and I promise to enjoy every minute that remains.
