So what is the right blend of player ability, pay and purpose in recruitment to have a high performing team?
In the era of AD rev share, NIL (very different things by the way), and transfer portal, how does a coach assemble the right team? Seems like colleges need to look more at the pros. Patriots and As come to mind. Look at Clemson and their approach to the transfer portal. They struggled last year and lost big to Georgia early but have been on a tear lately.

I took a shot at how to think about classifications of recruits here: https://www.cougarboard.com/board/message.html?id=34010752

How does BYU assemble a team that actually performs and fits its mission and brand? Or any school for that matter? What strategy would you pursue?
