(what, LoN? The kid of a nebbish nerd like you isn't going to BYU on a football scholarship and is instead really into marching band?? Shocker!), and while he's there I was hoping he'd be able to meet someone in the band, and maybe go to a rehearsal. I know, standing in the cold Marriott Center parking lot in November watching other people scurry around sounds EXACTLY how a high school kid would want to spend an afternoon, but, well, kids these days.

Truth be told, he is thinking most about SVU (we're east coasters), and BYU would be cheaper for me, plus, there'd be an outside chance he wouldn't end up with a Liberal Arts degree at the end if he could be swayed to go to BYU. 😄 And coming from a small school, I could see him being excited about the idea of being in a big band.
