Gundy gave one of the best post game analyses I’ve ever seen from a head coach. Honest and detailed. I am not surprised they completely scorched us on several plays. He knew us well on both sides of the ball.
Among many interesting things was his grasp of what we were doing in two minute and his ability to identify that Lassiter had broken off the normal play when he scored at the end. Kalani even acknowledged that we may need to become “less predictable” based on Oklahoma State’s performance against us.
And yet, BYU won anyway. As has been observed many times, we took a situation where we had a short week and faced a great coach who had a bye week to try and right the ship with his season, and we won anyway. This was the type of game we drop, and instead, we get a classic win and a chance to improve while yet unbeaten.
