the only spot that Chase could catch it with the DB coming in fast.
JR mentioned that he initially missed Chase who was wide open and "doing jumping jacks." But when he did see him, he wasn't even set to make the throw. He was rolling back to his right to avoid pressure and still threaded it in there perfectly off of his back foot. He put it high enough and to Chase's right (away from where the DB was coming) so that Chase could catch it and use his body as a shield to the defender.
Also, you see Chase quickly turn around to make sure he knows where the DB is so that he could position himself perfectly to make the catch. Such an incredible play!
That throw, and the very first throw of the game to Lassiter were perfectly placed. JR has really exceeded expectations this season. And besides his play, I love his moxie. As others have said on here, he gives Max Hall vibes.
