They need to discontinue preseason rankings until the 3rd or 4th game of the year. Eleven of the top 25 ranked preseason teams this year are no longer ranked (9-12 are gone Mich, FSU, Missouri, and Yewts).  Teams ranked in the preseason polls almost get a mulligan for a loss or two, meanwhile teams not ranked have to go all year undefeated to move up the rankings but almost never crack the top 10 because of where they started.
