About the UCF game…
We are going to dominate. Something has been going on with me and BYU this year. Every week, I’ve had an intuition and every week I’ve been on the money. The SMU game? I was sick to my stomach about it. I hoped we would win but I did not feel good about that game. I knew it would be close. Kansas state? I could feel it in my bones that we would win big. I had literally zero negative emotions about that game. Baylor? Back to feeling nervous. Arizona? In the clear. And then with OSU I was more nervous than any game this year. I thought we might actually lose that game. I texted a buddy as it was starting and said “we will win but it will be close.” And it darn sure was. I have been on the money every single time. With UCF I have a few pieces of evidence as to why I feel so confident.
1. This has been the year of breaking curses. The day game curse, the letdown after a big win curse, the October curse, the prime time spot on Fox curse. The big program BNK/Gameday curse. All of these have been broken and there are more to come. Obviously we’ve won a game in Florida now (2020 and 2022) but it’s still a “curse” in a lot of people’s minds. But this too will prove to be not enough to take down BYU.
2. UCF isn’t good and they aren’t all that talented either. BYU has better coaches, better talent, and better discipline.
3. BYU, and specifically Jay Hill, will have our guys ready to stop the run. Tyler Batty’s lack of integrity on the edge? Gone. Linebackers and interior linemen will be plugging holes like you’ve never seen. UCF will not be able to run the ball, which takes me to my next point.
4. UCF cannot pass the ball. They had a total of 62 passing yards last night. 3.1 yards/pass. With how talented and disciplined our secondary is, we can key on the run all night long.
5. We got a LOT of good tape on UCF from their game vs Iowa State. In addition to an extra day of rest, we will be able to game plan around RJ Harvey and their offensive line and make life really difficult for their freshman QB.
6. BYU is still being disrespected by Vegas. We are currently a 1 point favorite against a 3-4 UCF team who has lost FOUR in a row. This team is obviously feeding off the disrespect they’ve dealt with all season. This will only add to the fire.

I’m predicting BYU wins 42-10.
