Based on way too early pre-season lineups and performance, the Jazz's young players are outperforming expectations. The young guys are contributing to wins and the tradeable vets (Clarkson and to a lesser extent, Collins) are not.
If they end up battling for a play-in spot or lose their pick because the young guys (Keyonte, Williams, Hendricks, Kessler, Collier) are driving wins. Is that a failure?
For reference playing time might look like this:
- Keyonte (30) / Collier (18-20)
- Sexton (24) / Clarkson (24)
- Hendricks (28) / Williams (20)
- Lauri (32) / Sensabaugh (16) — note that Williams/Hendricks likely fill the 4 role
- Kessler (28) / Collins (20)
Filipowski and Juzang get 10-15 minutes with injuries, rest, foul trouble, etc.
