Ashton Jeanty is on pace to break, and perhaps destroy Barry Sanders' record
For single season rushing.
Barry's record is 2,628 yards.
Six games into the season Ashton Jeanty is on pace for 2,916 rushing yards--if Boise St makes the MWC championship and a bowl game.
Though he may break the record, it's not a completely fair comparison, because Sanders set their record in 1988 when only regular season games counted towards the total. So he set his record in only 11 games, and Jeanty would theoretically play 14 games (or possibly more if they make the playoffs)
Barry Sanders single season TD record of 37 is also in jeopardy. Jeanty has 17 rushing TDs and another one receiving.
