This post got me thinking about Saturday and my nearby fans.
This is more of a funny one, but there's a guy probably 2 or 3 rows back that has a voice that really carries and he tries SO hard to predict every offensive play. I think he's trying to impress his wife/girlfriend with his vast football knowledge. It looks to me like she just kind of sits there and doesn't really even pretend to be listening to him educating her on the intricacies of pass routes and play calling.

He's wrong about 80% of the time, but that 20% that he gets right is just enough to keep him thinking that he's the best unemployed college offensive coordinator.

Typical example; 2nd down and 2 yards to go. Ball on Arizona's 35-40 yard line. We're up substantially, some time in the 3rd quarter. "This is going to be a post-corner route to the receiver on the right. Oh, look at this coverage! This is going to be an easy touchdown!" Hand-off to LJ of left tackle for a nice 6 yard gain, moves the chains and keeps the clock ticking.

It's been like that every game now. He never gets discouraged, or realizes how off he usually is. He's upbeat and positive and cheers hard, so I love having him near, but I just chuckle to myself how bad he is at guessing what's going to happen each play.
