In celebration of the Dodgers and Mets meeting in the NLCS for the first time
since 1988, I’d like to point out how stupid the home field advantage rules were back then. Alternating between the West (evens) and East (odds) divisions depending on years, the Dodgers, 94-67, had home field over the Mets, 100-60. World Series did that as well until it was changed to winner of All-Star game, and now mercifully is best record. Baseball rules have always been weird.
