My wife and I are trying to plan a trip this coming summer and are having a hard time deciding where to go in the Mediterranean. We’re thinking 5-6 days in Greece area, and then going to Florence, Italy for 3-4 days.

Originally we were thinking Santorini for Greece, but then some of her coworkers from Europe suggested doing Milos instead, as it has less crowds. Then I was doing some reading on Crete, and people rave about it being better than going to the smaller islands. Anyone on here have any strong opinions or can compare various Greek experiences and give some recommendations?
