The question must be asked...
Every MLB team suffers injuries. That is a given. However, given the number and severity of injuries suffered by the Dodgers this year, both to key players in the field, and even more significant, key pitchers, the question must be asked--is this something the Dodgers are contributing to with their training procedures or the handling of players and the pitching staff. The number of injuries suffered by the Dodgers this year is way beyond what you would consider normal. Maybe it's just one of those years. But are there contributing factors that are controllable by the organization?

Consider the starters who aren't currently available: Glasnow, Kershaw, May, Gonsolin, River, Sheehan, and Stone. Plus, both Buehler and Yamamoto are recently returned from significant injuries and they're being counted as key starters in the playoffs. If all these pitchers (plus Ohtani) were healthy, things would be different.

Add to this the relievers that are currently on the shelf: Grove, Kelly. Honeywell, Brogdon, Frasso, Hurt. Plus, Graterol was just reinstated from the IL so you wonder about he effectiveness.

So, is it just one of those things, or are the managers, trainers, executives, etc., of the organization contributing in any way to this?
