Maybe risky but why not teach RB to throw the ball out of bounds when they know they’d be TFL?

They don’t have the same rules for intentional grounding as QBs do.

Correct. If a RB takes a handoff he can't intentionally ground it even if out of the pocket & past he LOS. Still flagged

Near a receiver works but I think refs would be more strict with a RB than a QB. Probably couldn’t dirt it like a QB
