Start wildcard games on Monday. They are wildcard teams for a reason. They don't need any advantage.

Monday: WC game 1
Tuesday: WC game 2
Wednesday: WC game 3

Start division round immediately. Again wild card teams don't need help. 1 and 2 seeds should have an advantage. Also no more weird off days for 1 seeds. The WC teams shouldn't get help with pitching.

Thursday: 1 seeds
Friday: All DS games
Saturday 2 seeds
Sunday: 1 seeds
Monday: All DS games
etc.

There is a real possibility all the wildcard teams advance this year. That is not fair for the 162. Alot of this is due to the schedule. Rust yes, but there is also there no real advantage for the non wildcard teams. For example, because of the dumb AL schedule, the Yankees had to face Ragans on full rest. It should have been the Royals 4th starter or Ragans on short rest.

Yes the 2 seeds still have this problem, but we can all agree the 1 seeds should have the most favorable schedule. Make the 162 matter.
