4 top seeded conference champs get a bye. I’d assume that’s Ohio State, Texas, Miami—and then Notre Dame is above us but I’m not sure if they’d qualify as a conference champ. So BYU or Iowa State gets in there potentially with the automatic bye to the quarterfinal and we are assigned to the Sugar, Rose, Fiesta or Peach Bowl. Probably Fiesta vs likely the SEC runner up.

If we don’t win the conference I don’t think we get in here, but if we stayed ranked in the top ten we might host a playoff game in Provo the week of Christmas.
