The latest AJ Dybantsa intel
In speaking with sources around the recruitment, the two schools that are consistently brought up are BYU and Kansas State. Throughout this process, BYU has been the program that every source I have spoken to has brought up. And that momentum continues as we head into his final visit, which will be with the Cougars.
From what sources continue to tell me, new BYU head coach Kevin Young’s success in the NBA is of interest. Along with the players that he has coached in the league. I am also told that BYU has put together an attractive NIL package.
Kansas State is the school whose momentum picked up after the official visit.
Dybantsa’s father publicly stated that the plan was to commit in February and sign during the Late Signing Period.
One source around the recruitment told me recently that the plan, to their understanding, is still to commit in February, however, that source also added they would not be surprised if, at the end of the day, Dybantsa does end up signing early.
At this point in the recruitment, heading into Dybantsa’s final visit, from what I am hearing it sounds like BYU does carry a slight edge.
