BYU bye week. Here are the upsets that set BYU up for a #14 ranking –
I can see Arkansas giving 4 Tennessee a good game at home. If nothing else, this game should be uber competitive. Arkansas has two losses – @OK State and lost a close one to TA&M. It is possible that they can cobble together a win (albeit not likely). Tennessee may still be high on their 10 point win at OU. Other than that they haven't played anyone significant. Even if Arkansas wins, BYU will not pass the TN.

- Tennessee 21 Arkansas 24

7 Miami hasn't looked great. The fact that they have to travel all the way across the country to play Cal doesn't bode well for them. I can see Miami falling hard. Miami had a beat down on the Florida Gators. But since then they've played FAMU, Ball State, a bad @USF team and a 3 loss VT team at home. Let's see what happens when they leave the state of Florida. Cal lost in the state of Florida, but has a win at Auburn and two more at home. Miami is in the top 10, but a loss to Calli drops them 8 spots. With some help from additional losses, BYU leapfrogs them.

- Miami 24 Cal 27

9 Mizzou has ninja-ly moved up the charts (unnoticed). Although TA&M often disappoints (hype>results), they do play in a loud place and have the ability to take down a ranked team. Mizzou has also played a pretty laughable schedule: Murray, Buffalo, BC, Vanderbilt — all at home. BYU will move up a spot if these pretenders lose. BYU moves past a SEC team.

- Missouri 17 TA&M 34

10 Michigan already has one L. They will travel to play in Husky Stadium and get their second of the season. They have played ALL 5 of their games at home. Michigan hasn't really dominated too many teams (10 point win against Arkansa State, 3 point win against both MN and USC). And they were crushed by Texas at home (like most teams would be). I think they fall in their first true road game. UW lost to Rutgers last week. I bet that doesn't sit well. BYU leapfrogs a two loss MI.

- Michigan 24 UW 28

11 USC will most likely beat @MN. Compared to most of the ranked teams they have played some good teams already (LSU, @MI, WI and USU). Losing to a team that took @MI to the wire last week isn't completely out of the realm of reality. USC has to travel, so maybe that throws the Californians off. BYU would definitely jump a 2 loss USC team.

- USC 17 MN 20

12 Ole Miss is going down. They've played nobody and just sustained their first crushing loss at home by the hands of a two loss Kentucky team. The Rebels have played the following powerhouses: Furman, MTSU, Wake Forest, GASO. South Carolina smashed Kentucky at Kentucky 31-6. So, it is very possible that they take care of business at home. Ole Miss will have their second loss in 2 consecutive weeks. They definitely drop into the 20 range. BYU moves up.

- Ole Miss 13 South Carolina 32

22 Louisville has wins against Jackson State, Austin Peay, GT (who rarely is good) and a loss at ND. I can see SMU going into LV and giving them a good game — based off of their wins against TCU ad FSU. They've put up points on everyone, but BYU. Although LV is ranked behind BYU, SMU winning helps our SOS and perception.

- Louisville 31 SMU 37

At this point 23 Indiana's schedule is laughable. Their big win is against Maryland (FIU, Western Illinois, Charlotte and UCLA aren't exactly powerhouses). I can see them reverting to the Indiana we really never hear about because of their crapitude and losing to @Northwestern. They'll pull an Illinois – find themselves ranked for a week before disappearing. This game doesn't affect BYU.

- Indiana 26 NW 27

BYU wins by not even playing!
