Listening to the KSL half time show they wondered if BYU would switch up the defense a bit to compensate for the all the QB scrambles. They also pointed out that besides the scrambles, everything else was pretty much shut down. They kind of came to the conclusion to live with the scrambles if everything else is working and stay the course.
It seems to me that the defense went to more of a 3 man rush with a spy LB to limit the scrambling and this resulted in less pressure and much more successful Baylor passing game in the 2nd half. I also think the injuries contributed to running that scheme as well.
Am I wrong in this observation?
