Doesn't get mentioned much but Jacob Robinson is a lockdown corner. He almost
Never even gets balls thrown his way. QB's respect him so much that they don't even look at the man he is covering on most pass plays cause they know that dude won't be open.

Baylor QB had 48 pass attempts. I always watch to see if the opposing QB throws Robinson's way. I think that of this 48 pass attempts only 3 were thrown Robinson's way. He has pass break ups on 2 of them (one was a 4th down pass near the end of the game) and Baylor scored a TD on the other one but I don't even know if that one should count.
On the TD BYU was playing cover 2. Robinson was the underneath guy and he passed the receiver off to the safety but the safety missed the assignment and the receiver was wide open.

It's something I specifically watch for each game. QB's rarely look at the receiver that Robinson is covering and they throw that way even less often. Reminds me of when I would watch Dion sanders back in the day. QBs had so much respect for him that they wouldn't even look good way. He was in their heads that much. Robinson locks his man down. A rarity for a BYU defense. A case can be made that he is the MVP of the defense.
