When they announced that Justin Ena was coming back to BYU, I got really excited because was a BYU product, who had been paying his dues and understand the guys transferring in from both smaller and big programs. I felt like he could bring in his own playing BYU playing experience, and help being back some intensity on D, that would only help.
Listening to Jack Kelly’s interview with Bywater, you could tell that Coach Ena had his respect and the respect of those playing. I hope he is here for a long time. I love having BYU guys like him, Poppinga, Jorgenson (I know he is in New Mexico, this season) and Gilford, coming back and mixing in with Coach Hill’s Defense. Gary Anderson is another big addition, which doesn’t get talked about enough.
