The mayor of Honolulu is leading a group that is pushing to have Hawaii invited
to the Pac-12.
In addition to the Mayor, the largest San Francisco Giants minority owner is involved (Duane Kurisu), as is, interestingly, Hair Thompson.
There's some people with pretty serious money on the list of those involved in this push. Interesting.
Also, does UNLV realize that if just one more school breaks, they are going to end up with New Mexico State, UTEP, and the University of Saskatchewan as conference mates along with Wyoming and San Jose State?
