the worst guy in history. Allegedly, his armies killed 40M people (~10% of the world's population at the time). Erased groups of people from history by destroying everything about their civilization. His brutality and torture are legendary: he routinely ordered his army to mass rape girls in front of their parents when he sacked cities, would mount the heads of those he killed above the bed as he had his way with their wives, poured molten silver into peoples eyes and ears, boiled people alive. The scale is truly shocking.

Also interesting how many don't view him as that bad because he is credited with uniting large swathes of people and organizing them into a productive civilization.

And side note, while I love Carlin, the way he pronounced Ghengis Khan was grating. But great series.
