The K State fans, and John Kurtz is just the latest example of that.

I've been to games in the following locations:

Nebraska (2015)
USC (2003)
Tennessee (2019)
Texas (2011)
Oregon (2022)
UCLA (2007)
Notre Dame (2005)
Arkansas (2023)

I would take the atmosphere at LES the last four years or so over any of those locations. Certainly there are aspects of some of these other places that are better--the Tennessee and Nebraska entrance, the Notre Dame campus, the Texas tailgate scene, and the niceness of the stadium (Arkansas). But for overall game atmosphere, LES is the best I've seen. The 3rd to 4th quarter transition is elite, the crowd is sophisticated and loud, the student section enormous and engaged the whole time, and the setting is beautiful. BYU has made the gameday experience so much better than it used to be. I've already instructed my kids when I die to cremate me and sprinkle my ashes at LES!
