Maybe it's just because of the scheduling similarities so far (SMU, Wyoming, K-State,) but this team reminds me so much of the 1996 team. The offense isn't there yet, but so many (not all) of the players seem like similar players when you compare the two deep. (More so the defense than the offense, but on offense the receivers and line seem so similar. On defense, so much seems comparable.) There seem to be some timeline dissimilarities (referring to eligibility of the players), but am I the only one feeling this way? Talent across the board with very few exceptions.
