I am so close to there and this team has surprised me. Was not expecting the season to feel like this so far.

I know BYU can beat weak competition wherever/whenever. Step one. Wyoming and SIU are proof.

Step two--I now know that this team can harness LES magic and beat nationally-ranked/hyped competition. Step two, and an important step. I expect BYU to win out at home and believe they can.

I am half way to knowing that this team can go on the road and beat good competition. SMU gave me a glimpse/taste. If we can replicate it again and do it in a morning game on the road in Waco, then I'm sold. If we can move to 5-0 the way we have, then I think this team has what it takes to contend for the conference championship and a playoff spot. Doesn't mean it will, but I will start to embrace the concept that it is a good enough team to do it.

I have already embraced the concept that we can and should compete in, and put ourselves in a position to win, every remaining game on the schedule. I am not predicting we go unbeaten--only that there is no game on the schedule that we can't win. There are definitely some we can lose as well.

So beat the Bears and make me a full believer!
