Our experience with a couple non-BYU, non-KSU fans who just happened to go to the game on a whim
So my wife and I are sitting in our seats with a little extra room bc nobody bought the seats next to us. About the. End of the 1st Q a BYU Services person comes and asks to see our tickets. I asked why, and he said that somebody thought we were sitting in their seats. I said what seat is that? He said, the ones next to you… I was thinking, “Ok, well clearly we are not in those seats.” But we were nice and just said okiedokie.

Well, then in come these two guys. One about 45 the other about 30 years old. My wife and I are around that age range as well.

They are clad in black. One has an orioles cap on. I was thinking maybe utes? But then they were not smelling of alcohol and neither had a goatee which, surprisingly has been a true stereotype anytime I’ve been around Utah fans at BYU games. So they intrigued me.

Our initial interaction was negative as they were trying to sit two people in one spot. I had to speak up to them as they were standing on my wife basically. So that made it awkward, but we all settled in.

Anyway, we watched these guys just take in the scene. Not cheering for either team.

Then came the end of the second quarter.

And as the you could see these guys gradually getting into the game. We started talking with them.

They were from Maryland and were more pro fans and also attended Navy college FB games.

As BYU began to beat down KSU and all the craziness, they began to outright yell and cheer for BYU. Even calling out the refs for that BS TD they gave Avery.

They had wide eyes at the show, the experience and everything. They seemed to get a big kick out of Cosmo and the 4th Q pump up show.

The whole game was insane obviously so we made sure to tell them that this was how all our games go at LES.

They by the end had an amazing time, cheered BYU on and thanked us for showing them around. These two East coast guys got a real taste of what FB is like at LES and I think we landed two new fans.
