Rental car insurance
Another driver hit my car and is at fault. They are paying for an Enterprise rental car while mine is in the shop, and I'm supposed to pick that up today. I know they will try to push purchasing insurance coverage but I'm confused if I need it.

I have full coverage on my car and plan on paying for the refundable deposit with my Sapphire Reserve card. It's weird though because I'm not actually paying for the car as the other driver's insurance is. The deposit is the only thing I'd be paying and it's refundable so I'm not sure if the Sapphire Reserve benefit is activated?

Also, my understanding is that the credit card benefit isn't actually insurance and doesn't really pertain to liability, only to damage to the vehicle. If there's liability I guess my own insurance would cover that?

I don't trust rental car companies one bit. I've had horrible experiences with them in the past trying to pass off damage that I didn't do or charge more than agreed. I'm just paranoid I guess that if I don't buy their coverage they will try something shady.

Am I okay to skip their coverage?
