I met Brad Robins when he was on the Y's Guys podcast several months ago. He gave me a hat and a CD. Shortly after that, and completely unrelated, my nephew started working for them. I thought that was cool, but they weren't really in my typical music genre, so I honestly never even listened to the CD.
Last night, they did a private concert for my family. They had been hoping to do it for my brother, but he passed away to quickly for that to happen. They decided to do it anyway.
They first sang Amazing Grace, which was beautiful. Then their pianist shared the story behind his arrangement of Guide Me to Thee that he did in a similar situation with his mom. Last, they sang Away in a Manger, which was my brother's favorite song. They had actually just recorded an arrangement of it the night before for their upcoming Christmas album.
Anyway, I'm a big fan now. I'll probably go to their concert, even if I don't regularly listen to their music. They're good dudes. It's pretty amazing that they would do that for us.
