At least I think my dog thinks the kids are terrible at taking her for a walk!

We have a golden doodle mini about 9 months old.

Whenever the kids are responsible for taking the dog on a walk in the evening, our dog refuses to go! She’ll just sit there and resist. Or go and hide in her sleeping cage! We tell the kids to just carry her then because the dog needs to get outside.

For me, the dog is anxious to go on a walk! I always walk her around our neighborhood, which is about 2 miles.

Today, I told her “let’s go on a walk” and she got all excited! I got the leash on and was about to leave the house when I remembered I have a business zoom call that I needed headphones for during our walk. Well, she refused to budge as I took the leach into the kitchen to get my headphones. She resisted and I sort of needed to drag her slightly. She BADLY wanted to go on a walk.

It was then that I thought my kids probably are just terrible at taking her for a walk. The kids are lazy and likely don’t give a proper walk and so the dog hates walks with them.

She loves walks with me!!!!’
