of what BYU is up against. The replay isn't JUST highlights...it shows some drops, failed drives, etc...so I think its a decent recap for those of you who are like me and what to get a better idea of what BYU is up against.

A few immediate reactions:

• KSU is clearly a run first offense and they use the run to open up the pass game. They run quite a bit more than they pass...and they're really good at it.  Their RB is quick and shift and their QB is as well.  One note about their QB...seems like he never slides and he rarely runs out of bounds. Multiple times in that game he just tip toed the sidelines and the defenders seemed to pull up, not wanting to hit him out of bounds, but he just kept running inbounds.  Our D has to make him pay if he does that.
• Their QB draw / RPO is going to be tough to counter. Arizona seemed to bite on the fake hand-offs so many times, leaving wide open running lanes for their QB.
• Their QB love to roll out and scramble to extend the plays, but he keeps his eyes downfield and hits his open guy...he doesnt just pull in the ball and run every single time he gets flushed out of the pocket.
• They've got a LOT of speed on both sides of the ball.  And on special teams - their kick return guy turned on the jets and returned a punt for a TD.

It's going to be really interesting to see how our D measures up to this KSU offense.  If we really do have lockdown cover guys, we can keep them in single coverage and load the box, keeping 1-2 QB spies.  I'm excited to see what Jay Hill dials up against these guys.

Our offense is an X factor...I really dont know what to expect from those guys.  I'm afraid we're kinda screwed unless we find a dependable RB while LJ is injured. If we had LJ healthy, I'd be more confident. It seemed like our WRs / TEs struggled to get a lot of separation vs SMU...its definitely not going to be any easier against KSU.

I'm both intrigued and nervous about what we could see unfold on Saturday.
