Musings on PAC realignment
There is still significant debate going on in terms of what is best for the PAC. Clearly their primary objective is to create the best conference possible to monopolize the G5 CFP bid while maximizing revenue distributions to their members. Right now that sounds like a 9 team football conference with Gonzaga potentially being added as a basketball only member. And it would probably look something like this:

WSU, OSU, Boise, Fresno, SDSU, CSU, Memphis, Tulane, Gonzaga

From a BYU & Big 12 perspective, we should be rooting for these programs and their fanbases to grow into P4 caliber programs. Not only could they be the primary targets for future Big 12 expansion, but with the SEC & B1G refusing to schedule games against Big 12 schools the PAC could be a focus for non conference scheduling for Big 12 programs. The truth is that if SDSU or UNLV actually reach their potential as programs they could become very appealing with their geography and recruiting territories for the western portion of the Big 12. Additionally, Memphis is completely renovating the Liberty Bowl, USF is building a new on-campus stadium, and ECU & UTSA have shown the ability to draw well in their markets. For the Big 12's sake it would be great to ultimately see a PAC that looked something like this:

Washington State
Oregon State
Boise State
Colorado State
San Diego State
Fresno State
UNLV
Memphis
Tulane
USF
ECU
UTSA

This probably doesn't necessarily maximize revenue for the PAC but the hope would be that being associated with the PAC brand would add value in the eyes of these programs' fanbases and they will see a significant amount of engagement and attendance with their increase in status.
