Since amateur means nothing anymore, NCAAB is more or less just competing with European ballclubs for Europe's best young players. Have I got that right?
So it's a formalization of a domestic NBA minor league system, well, that anybody cares about. Extrapolated out, is the G League even going to be a thing eventually? Certainly deep-pocketed donors will pay more than G League salaries for shot-at-the-NBA talent. I can't imagine the NBA is making any money off the G League. There's no market for it. Are they going to pay marginal NBA talent even more than they do now just so that someone in their own org gets to develop them?
