I have typically (like for a few decades) always paid off my CC balance in full every month, and when I do so I just pay the total amount outstanding, which includes all outstanding charges even those incurred after the statement date.

For most cards, if I were to pay just the statement balance on the due date and wait to pay those additional charges that were made after the statement date in next month's payment, will I incur any interest charges on those charges?

Part of me doesn't want to pay the CC card company my money until I have to. But I don't want to be incurring interest charges.
