I understand that having significant injuries at RB and poor depth at that position has hurt, but our O-Line looks bad in the run game again. I'll admit that ARod's play calling in short distance situations (i.e. sweeps, slow-developing zone reads, run from shotgun) is questionable, but against SMU it seems like SMU had at least one defender in the backfield as soon as the ball was snapped.
It seems like our RBs almost always have to make a guy miss in the backfield rather than get at least 1-2 yards down field before there is a guy in their face...
