It’s easy for us to call out QB play - but the heat Arod gets is justified and it’s coming from our NFL type guys that would know - ie. Austin Collie and Trevor Matich and thousands of us on CB 😄 - people that would know!

Something to consider - after scoring drive in first qtr, Retzlaff struggled much of the middle of the game but regained enough composure among the mistakes to engineer a game-tying TD and 2 pt conversion along with a game winning field goal drive late for the win. He did it without starting RB and with OC calling multiple series of running plays leading to three and outs against a massive d line built to stop the run.

I watched Detmer throw 5 interceptions the week after beating Miami - it happens - Jake deserves a little more leash but I honestly don’t think Arod’s play calling is helping and I’d be a little ticked if I was a WR / TE for lack of targets.
I am concerned about LJ’s mental toughness as much as his durability…but I could be off on the seriousness of his injury…yes, his ankle was heavily wrapped. I do like the collective of the other RB’s and curious what this line will do against solid D lines in B12 - I think SMU’s was exceptional last night and I thought we performed better than last year but still some concerns.
SMU was the landing spot for many transfers from Miami, AR, TX, Michigan, Ohio St, GA - many were on defense. Google SMU 2024 football transfers - insane, must be the BYU bball equivalent of NIL for fball! 😂
