my son and when we discovered that he had a brain tumor. The resulting surgery caused a traumatic brain injury. He has recovered well but it’s been a journey to say the least.

I bring this up because a few days ago my son’s cross-country teammate at FHS, the best distance girl runner at FHS and potential college runner had a horrible accident causing traumatic brain injury. She will have a very long journey to recover like my son did and she’s in fact still sedated at the hospital to allow her brain to heal after her surgery. Her mom is a single parent and they’re going to need a lot of financial support to get through this.
