I'm ecstatic about what's happening with the basketball program, but everything I've read, including on CB, is pretty negative about the football team's prospects for this season. Most seem to predicting about a 5-7 season. Those wearing blue goggles are predicting that maybe BYU will be able to get to 6-6 and sneak into a bowl game. That's pretty depressing.
I know the transition into a P4 conference is challenging, and adjusting takes some time, but I'd love to have some glimmer of hope as the football season approaches.
What can you tell me to lift my spirits and have a more positive attitude looking to the season?
And don't tell me the best we can hope for is that the team goes 4-8 and the coaching staff gets fired so the program can get rebooted. I'm looking for something positive about this season.
