I found this article to be remarkable. Amazing how far the treatment and research has gone. Before 1950s the life expectancy of someone with Cystic Fibrosis was not much more than 5 years old. Recent median life expectancy is around 44 years old. That statistic was before Trikafta was approved. My Doctor’s told me that with Trikafta and all my treatments it is possible that I could live to be 80. Remarkable what amazing things can happen when money is spent to help the greater good of the world.
