"It is just me or does it seem like American's are getting dumber?"--stoils, Aug 25, 2008

"I've tuned into this message board to find places to eat."--Rebelution, Aug 8, 2008

"...Other parallels between Romney and Joseph of old include:

Joseph's Dad mistakenly heard that Joseph had been tragically killed. Mitt was involved in a car accident in France on his mission and word came back to the states that he had been killed.

Apparently Joseph was an attractive young man as Potifer's wife couldn't keep her hands off him. Likewise, Romney's looks have gotten almost as much attention as his policies.

Mitt has successfully turned around virtually every major crisis he has gotten involved with (Dozens of companies, Bain Consulting, Olympics, Massachusetts, etc.). Genesis 39 says this about Joseph:

2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.

Sound a lot like Mitt." --AB in SC, July 27, 2008

"We entered the MTC together, went to the same mission (Portugal Porto), served together in the office and he was my final zone leader. He carried a picture of his girlfriend with him and showed it off nearly as much as the Book of Mormon. Yeah, he protested a bit too much. I've never met a gay-er person in my life. When I first learned that he was out of the closet about 7 years ago, it was quite a happy moment for me. I guess I felt a bit like the finger-crossing, "gay-gay-gay"-chanting Homer hoped to feel when Flanders stood up in church and said he had a confession to make. It still makes me giggle." --Belboz, July 14, 2008

"Okay which of you are involved in this? If any of you are, I recommend you stop being such a fag." --Veritas, Jan 17, 2008

"maybe I can't fully appreciate what it means to an AA, but from my perspective it's still a bit misguided. There are PLENTY of wonderful, positive black role models without needing the president to be one....I think the black youth of America already have lots and lots of positive role models. I know there are always people who are afraid to discuss race and think we need to walk on pins and needles when discussing it, but I'm not one of them." Cassia Cougar, formerly known as Dixiecougar, January 8, 2008.

"its the minority mindset, he is more interested in having the barrier broken than what is best for the country from a policy standpoint. Colin Powell is an uncle Tom." Pegushin, January 8, 2008.

"So you're telling me there are BYU students out there who despise minorities so much that they purposely scrutinize their actions, just waiting for the chance to report them to the HC and run them out of town for good? Sorry man, but I'm not buying it. I spent five years in Provo and met a lot of different people, but not one of them fits that description. Don't get me wrong - I know lots of BYU students who tell racist jokes or whatever, but that is a whole different situation." UMICH Coug, Jan 18, 2008

"Homosexuals are VERY promiscuous. If one gets the disease, it quickly spreads to many. Not so with heterosexual people, the disease spreads much slower and is much easier to track down and control...Homosexual sex is not meant to happen. When it does the "physiology and mechanics" of it results in a much higher probability of transmission of the disease than does normal heterosexual activity. Something to do with tearing and bleeding. But this is also the result of multiple sex partners, one right after the other. Thus the disease spreads to many homosexual individuals in one day...Nothing like this happened among heterosexuals." Cougrrrs Roll, Jan 15, 2008

"You say this as if genius is somehow not easily attainable. I would be surprised if Romney didn't have a genius IQ and I would be surprised if some of his strategists didn't also have genius IQ's. So, if a strategy is made by people with genius IQs what would be required for the strategy itself to be considered genius? If a strategy is made by people with genius IQs, what would keep the strategy from being a genius strategy?" Shihan, Jan 20, 2008

"I exchanged a boardmail yesterday from somebody who said he bloomed really late and was wondering how things would've been different if he had got his growth earlier." Cassia Cougar, formerly known as Dixiecougar, Jan 28, 2008

"Trust me, I can have my OWN opinions on that and Elder Ballard can have his. It is thievery, plain and simple. You don't have to be an Einstein to figure that one out" Snipe, Jan 30, 2008

"Is this just a guess? I know the romans had aqueducts and that they probably built some in Britain, but is that still what they were using that late? And I'm a little unclear on my whole aqueduct technology anyway. That's a lot of aqueducts and water for half a million people." Cassia Cougar, formerly known as Dixiecougar, Jan 30, 2008

"The New Yorker" magazine ran an article about W's speech pattern that described it as very complex and intelligent. He only sounds dumb because he pronounces "nuclear" with two syllables." provo63, Jan 30, 2008

"I have a wealthy friend that is worth about 50 million. He pays no personal income taxes. He does pay his tenth. He has a fast food chain and about 20 rental homes in Nor cal. I make about 150k a year and pay no personal income tax because of rental properties, of course, I'm not rich, just smart." Y'sWoody, Jan 31, 2008

"You're right. God really screwed up before. At least he is getting it right now." Mister P, Feb 4, 2008

"Is saying something you don't mean a poly thing?...It just seems that whenever something like this happens, they are always poly." Useless, Feb 6, 2008

"Has anyone ignored TripletDaddy? I'm wondering if I would be missing out on much if I did? Thoughts?" brj8, Feb 7, 2008

"Showed up for the ultrasound yesterday, sat in the chair and waited. My name gets called, I look up: Major hottie. Go into the room, and the next 45 minutes is spent having a very attractive Ultrasound tech roaming my bare, kyjelly filled stomach/groin." Tymasterflex, February 9, 2008

"One thing I have noticed of late is that there are a lot of flamboyant LDS men that, if I didnt know they members, I would automatically assume were gay. The size of BYU's male ballroom dance population is a prime example. Maybe its because as a people we are more cultured? or possibly because we are so comfortable with our sexuality that the extreme femininity doesn't register? I don't know, but its something that I have observed lately...thoughts?" CaliWG, Feb 14, 2008

"Your entire cougarboard existence is taking pot shots at others, antagonizing, and annoying from the safety and anonymity of the internet...I know there's a little rumor out there that you're funny ... though I haven't seen evidence for it, I'll take this post of yours with that view that it was an attempt at humor that was simply beyond my ability to comprehend." Cassia Cougar, formerly known as DixieCougar, Feb 14, 2008

"BYU is not dominate in the MWC on a cyclical basis; the are dominate as a norm. And guess what, BYU fans know it. And they are right. And they are fans and they act like fans." Rational Y, February 20, 2008

"Just got back from my favorite place to watch BYU games. My buddy's man-cave who he happens to be a hardcore yewt fan who also has the MTN. What a great game!" CougarCanuck76, February 20, 2008

"I saw him and it bugged me too. So from that aspect I would have wanted him gone too. That, and I don't like queers." Gunnerman, March 10, 2008

"It's been noted many times over that LDS teaches the war we battle on earth, against satan, continues in the after life. What are the possibilites that the war we battle in the after life, is to prevent Satan and his angels, demons, followers...from revealing massive abilities of technology. How many people would worship Satan if they feared not only his power but his weapons, his technology. How many more people would bow down to him if they thought he could cure all thier illnesses and physical woes by touching them with a magic rod or shot of brilliant light generated from a technoligical advanced machine. Maybe the battle to prove UFOs are in vain. Chances are God and Satan have similar instraments and machines." Monsterdave, April 22, 2008
