through trade, and not so much the draft, I would have been happier to keep Gobert. Had Ainge gone all in on building through the draft (i.e. tank all the way), then trading Gobert is the right move for sure. I'm not a tank purist like others who think 20 teams should be tanking at any given time because it takes a top 8 player to win a championship. But I also think it's crazy to not tank if the ceiling for your team is making the play-in.
